Welcome
Thank you for visiting our website! We are the Johnson Family along with Mason Hovey and Cheyenne Simmons. We are located just outside of Grundy Center, Iowa. And we love to share our llamas with people whether it be at a show, parade, public event, or just here at home. Andrea and Erika help with a 4H program in the neighboring county and love teaching youth about llamas.
We started Heroes and Friends Farm in 2006. Raelyn, Andrea and Erika started showing at a young age through the local 4H program in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We quickly got a few of our own to show and it's been all uphill from there! We started with a herd of 10, but now we maintain a herd of about 40.
When we started our herd we were just showing in the performance, but over the past few years with the help of a few friends and mentors, have shifted our focus to producing our type of llama. We have built up our breeding herd over the past couple of years and are now producing 8-10 crias a year. We take the time to work with each cria individually and access what purpose they would best be suited for. Erika and Andrea take the time to carefully plan out our breeding pairs so we can produce our ideal llama.
Look for HAFF crias coming to a show near you!
